LOST! LOST! LOST!

Here are my thoughts on that wild ride last night. Gosh I couldn't believe when it was over! I want more! Oh, to just be able to sit and watch them back to back!

Best reveal is a toss up between Widmore being an Other or Locke sending Richard to him at birth. I bet Locke was suppose to pick the compass then way back.

Oh Des naming his son Charlie! I completely forgot that Penny’s dad’s name is also Charles. My mind went right to Charlie Pace ::sings:: “You All Everybody.” Of course it had to be that Charlie – Charlie who Des saved over and over so that Charlie could sacrifice himself to save Desmond and everyone by telling them “Not Penny’s Boat” in Through The Looking Glass. I still miss Charlie and hope we can somehow get him back for an epi or two.

I think all the people that don’t belong on the island are slowly getting killed off.The cute blondie with the gun knows Daniel! I loved the camera angle of behind the gun view of Miles, Dan and Charlotte. They look like they belong to the band that tried to chop of Juliette’s hand. Yep, they do.

Cute blondie’s name is Ellie. Mrs. Hawking’s first name is Eloise (which was also the name of the rat that ran the maze that Des found put away in Oxford – the rat and maze that Daniel was running in the epi The Constant.) Could she be a young Mrs. Hawkings? Could she be Daniels mum?

Des is sooo hot! YUMMY!

Why didn’t Dan want to tell Richard his name? Why did he give Richard a funny look when he said his name? I can’t remember - does Richard Alpert stand for something else? Is it an anagram? Is he someone like Locke/Bentham?

I guess the flashes aren’t happening every 108 minutes – but great thought!

So the flaming arrows were prolly The Others firing on who they thought were soldiers.

Sidenote – I can’t wait to see Coraline. I read the book and it was great!!!

LOL the bomb is named Jughead.

Widmore has a scale model of a ship in his office. Could it be a model of The Black Rock which he seems obsessed with?

Widmore wants to know if Penny is safe ‘cuz of Ben’s threat.

Widmore says that Dan’s mom won’t want to see Des. Why wouldn’t Dan’s mom want to see Des? If she is Mrs. Hawking then why wouldn’t she want to see him when he belongs on the island?

So Widmore is an original Other? Widmore told Ben the island was his. It was his before Ben. He must have had to move the island like Ben and couldn’t go back and has been trying to get back ever since just like Ben. So of course he would think the island was his over Ben’s – he was there first. Now the question is was he born there? ‘cuz we know that Ben wasn’t. If Widmore was then he definitely has a bigger claim to the island than Ben.Was Penny born on the island?

Love that Pen can see thru Des’s lying.

JESSICA SIMPSON IS NOT FAT PEOPLE!!!!!!!

I am really mad at all the people that say Jessica is getting fat!!! Shame on every one of them! This girl looks normal! She is not a skeleton so she must be getting fat! The girls/young women today need an image like hers. I am tired of looking at young women and thinking someone should shove a sandwich or two down their throats!

Now her fashion choice - that's another story. These look like pants from my high school days - they are very unflattering - on anyone - so why, oh why are they making a comeback?

They remind me of an old SNL sket for "Mom's Jeans." LOL

Here are the pictures - you be the judge, and then vote on the poll to the left if you think she's getting fat!

This is a skinny picture of her. Does she really look better here? Shame on all the news outlets making money on calling her fat!! They should be praising her for looking like a normal person!

COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS

TAYLOR SWIFT is in Teen Vogue and tells them she suffers from "girl-next-door-itis"-the social disease that keeps nice girls from finding love. "I'm the girl who ... the hot guy is friends with and gets all his relationship advice from but never considers dating." She also told the magazine "I thought I'd have so many more friends, but I feel like I'm less popular than I've ever been. It makes me value the people I can trust even more."

CRAIG MORGAN wants to act. He thinks it "would be fun," saying, "I see guys like Jackie Chan and Chris Rock and some of the stuff that they do and think, 'God, I'd love to hang out with those guys and make a movie with them!'" He is studying the art in a roundabout way. "I have kids that are taking acting lessons, so rather than pay for me to do it, too, and not be cool, I let them go. Then they come back and tell me everything they've learned." Of course, he can also count making videos as acting and he just shot the video for his latest "God Must Really Love Me" at The Drake Hotel in downtown Nashville on Monday.

MERLE HAGGARD isn't shy and he says he's not really fond of the modern country sound. He told the "Wyoming Tribune Eagle" technology has made it possible for anyone to make a record, and, "you don't really know who can sing or can't until you see them in person, then you're like, 'Oh my God, what happened?'" He says it's "kind of sad in some ways," because, "it's so perfect, and there are no surprises." The real problem according to The Hag is that this obscures talent, and that, "you have to get past the belly buttons and the videos and somewhere in there there's some kind of music." He does like Carrie Underwood but says he doesn't find anything special in her material. Really, not even "Just a Dream?" I wonder what he thinks of Miranda Lambert's music. She is such a die hard fan of his that one of her biggest compliments came from a reviewer who called her "Merle Haggard with lip gloss." I'd also like to know what he thinks of Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. Both are such huge triple threats - singers, songwriters and guitar players. Keith's last album "Love Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing" was very much like he is in concert with his guitar jams just continuing on, and of course Brad's last album was the phenomenal "Play." Ahhh, the questions I'd like to ask.

LOST

It's LOST day! I won't use the word Wednesday now until late May! heehee

Here's something fun for all you Sawyer fans! You know he lets fly with the nicknames fast and furious so TVGuide.com. put up some of their favs. Here ya go!

11. "Freckles" For: Kate
Explanation: This one gets a nod simply because of the sheer volume of its usage. Plus, this pet name is endearing, which we can't say for most of the others.Honorable Mentions: "Sassafrass," "Shortcake"

10. "Genghis" For: Miles Straume
Explanation: Sawyer doesn't shy away from the easy references, and ethnicity is usually his first line of attack. Case in point: this reference to Mongolian ruler Genghis Khan. Sawyer's also referred to Miles as "Bruce Lee from the Freighter" and "Donger," a play off of Sixteen Candles' Long Duk Dong.

9. "Kenny Rogers" For: Frank Lapidus, the Freighter Folk's chopper pilot
Explanation: A simple look-alike gag, but it had us rolling.Honorable Mention: Shaggy

8. "Jackass" For: Jack
Explanation: Get it? His name is Jack, and Sawyer's calling him an ass. The clever devil.Honorable Mentions: "Cool Hand", "Dr. Do-Right," "Dr. Giggles," "Amarillo Slim"

7. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" For: Jin and Sun Kwon
Explanation: While again ethnically based, this nickname is also indicative of Sawyer's extensive knowledge of high and low culture. He frequently references Star Wars and classic literature. In this case, we think he was just hoping for subtitles to Jin and Sun's conversation.Honorable Mentions: "Papa-San" (Jin); "Tokyo Rose" (Sun)

6. "Rambina" For: Ana Lucia
Explanation: Tough as nails, she was one of the few women on the island to match Sawyer's surliness. Her fearless, cavalier approach earned her the name. Honorable Mentions: "Hot Lips," "Ana LuLu," "Cupcake"

5. "Skeletor" For: Roger Linus's skeleton
Explanation: Okay, totally obvious. But Sawyer was drunk. On who-knows-how-old Dharma Initiative beer. Still, funny. (side note - epi 6 is suppose to be Dharma-centric and I have a few cool definitions of Dharma that I will be sharing with you soon)

4. "Mr. Clean" For: Locke
Explanation: We're big fans of this one, and wouldn't you know it, executive producer Damon Lindelof says it's his overall favorite. "It felt particularly witty, considering Sawyer had used up most of his 'bald' jokes at that point," Lindelof said. "He proved ever-resourceful."Honorable Mentions: "Cue Ball," "Brutus," "Colonel Kurtz"

3. "Captain Bunny Killer" For: Ben
Explanation: One of Sawyer's most literal nicknames: Only days earlier, Ben had "killed" a rabbit to scare Sawyer into submission.Honorable Mentions: "Yoda," "Gizmo," "Bug-eyed Bastard"

2. "Stay Puft" For: Hurley
Explanation: Hugo has been on the receiving end of Sawyer's quick wit more than any other survivor, and once revoked Sawyer's nicknaming privileges by beating him at ping pong. Unfortunately for Hurley, Sawyer falls back on physical appearances even more often than ethnicity.Honorable Mentions: "Three Men and a Baby" (with Charlie and Aaron, counting Hurley twice), "Deep Dish," "Jabba," "Snuffy," "Jumbotron," "International House of Pancakes"

1. "Captain Falafel" For: Sayid
Explanation: Just as Hurley is the main recipient of fat jokes, Sayid gets the most racist comments. The once-and-future assassin did torture Sawyer only a few days after they met, but still, not cool. Of course, Sayid seems to take a sticks-and-stones attitude to the whole thing. Honorable Mentions: "Red Beret," "Al Jazeera," "Captain A-rab"

Bonus: "Plato" For: ???
Explanation: Executive producer Carlton Cuse let us in on this Season 5 nickname. "He calls somebody 'Plato' this year, and that one I like a lot. Sawyer's exasperation with his circumstances is a fun part of the story." (hmmmm - another philosopher - like Locke and Locke's alter ego in the casket Benjamin Latham - I'll guess Charlotte - and I know I'm totally wrong! LOL)

Double Bonus: "New Otherton" and "Caught in a Net"
Explanation: Who says Sawyer's knack for names only applies to people? He also came up with these monikers for the Others' barracks and sex, respectively.

Now check this out to get your OWN Sawyer nickname.

I am Mighty Huntress! LOL

The Amazing Race

This is my favorite reality show. The honey and I like to watch it and talk about how we would handle all the challenges and what we would do differently than the actual contestants. When I get in shape we are totally making an audition tape! LOL Oh, and I completely heart Phil!

CBS has announced the cast for the 14th season of "The Amazing Race."

This year one team will feature the show's firt deaf contestant, Stuntmen (who are 4 foot 9 inches - so yes, Stefani Bishop would 'tower' over them!) and two former NFL cheerleaders.

They'll be going to places like Siberia, India and Romania and they get to tackle the world's second highest bungee jump. (I would make the honey tackle that one - eep!)

TAR debutes February 15th . Here are the contestants battling for the $1 million dollar grand prize.

COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS

KEITH ANDERSON'S website says he will have vocal cord surgery soon. It's a good time 'cuz his tour schedule is light - he gets into full gear in March. His doc is expecting him to make a full recovery. His condition isn't painful but he's had to scrap a few shows because of it One of the shows he cancelled last year was at The Pheasant Run Resort. At the time we hoped for a rescheduling, and that may still happen, but I haven't heard anything yet. You can hear his new song "She Could've Been Mine" now on WXRO.

The Grammy's are coming up soon and since they are on CBS they'll be airing a special pre-GRAMMY program "Katie Couric's 'All-Access' Grammy Special" February 4th at 7pm. Country Stars taking part in the program include Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. Katie went out on the road with Taylor for a behind the scenes look. The idea behind the show is to show us a new side to the artists and producer Susan Zirinsky says we can expect the performers to reveal themselves in uniquesly intimate ways (sounds like a Barbara Walters thing to do). Other stars on the show are Justin Timberlake, Lil' Wayne, Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, Metallica, and Ne-Yo.

JASON ALDEAN has named his new album "Wide Open" and it's hitting stores on April 7th. Why "Wide Open" for a title? Jason says it, "describes my personality and attitude 100-percent." He also recorded the material live with his touring band and they, "tried to picture ourselves playing them in an arena down the road somewhere. I think you can definitely feel that energy." "She's Country" is on it and a cover of Alabama's "My Home's in Alabama" featuring guest vocals by Randy Owen. Jason, told USA Today, "I made my band learn and record it as true to the original track as possible, tried to get the same guitar tones, play the same licks."

LOST

This is the best show on TV and I can't get enough of it. Each week I am going to post my thoughts on the episode. I confess to sitting there with my laptop handy to jot something down when it pops in my head (I would never remember that kind of stuff at the end of the hour), then at commercials I add more, and after the show I really spend some time thinking about what I've seen.

What you'll get here is not a play by play recap - there are plenty of those out there - but my random thoughts as they pop into my head. If you don't watch the show you won't get it. Sorry, but I urge you to catch up online and join the mania!

So here we go! And with 3 hours it's quite lengthy.

Great recap. Love that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are the ones filling us in. Or should I say Stripey and Necktie?

The characters are seeking redemption for misdeeds of their past.

So curious about The Dharma Initiative.

Sun and Jin’s romance is so special!

Richard tells Locke “You’re here to remind us that we are here for more important reasons.” What are the important reasons that Richard was referring to?

They look so happy at the prospect of going home when Jack makes that phone call. But we all know it is not meant to be.

Everything Ben has he took from Widmore. Who was the leader of the Others before Ben? Did Widmore move the island like Ben? Widmore says the island is his and always has been. What does that mean?

Desmond and Penny – sigh! Love them!

Episode 1 & 2 of Season 5

Yay we’re starting w/ The Dharma Innitiative – Marvin Candle/Halliwax is referred to as Dr. Chang!!! I love that his beginning is like Des. Get up, start record, see how his life begins. He has a baby. Born on the island? Is it Miles? Of course it’s Miles!!! Holy crap Miles is Marvin Candle’s baby. No wonder he wants to stay. He was born on the island. Whaaa! Dan is there when Miles is a baby (in the tunnel) and looks the same age!

Who knows that Kate isn’t Aaron’s mommy? Who got a court order? Who would be powerful enough to do that? Widmore? Frank? Frank just knows, can’t see him doing anything – what happens to Frank?

Where did the Others go!? We went back in time. So they weren’t with Locke?

LOL Sawyer slaps Dan and threatens Charlotte.

OMG Locke sees the plane crash that’s gonna kill Boone.

OMG Ethan! He shot Locke!

Hurley to Sayid “Maybe if you would eat more comfort food you wouldn’t need to kill people.” LOL

Sayid tells Hurley to do the opposite of what Ben tells him to. So Hurley won’t want to go back to the island ‘cuz Ben tells him too. It’s conflicting like Claire telling Kate not to take Aaron back to the island.

Heroes needs to simplify their time travel like LOST just did. LOL

Richard is dressed differently than when they disappeared. Ahh, now I see why.

LOL Richard needs glasses to pull out the bullet. Love their conversation - What’s this? It’s a compass John. What’s it do? It points North. LOL

Wow my mind is blown. The island is bouncing around in time back and forth. (nice metaphor with the record skipping at the beginning) The Others are the natural inhabitants of the island so they move with the island, thus they don’t age. Everyone else bounces around the time line ‘cuz they weren’t born there. So would Aaron not bounce around? Does that have something to do with why Claire tells Kate not to bring him back? ‘cuz then they will be separated from him? He will move with the island and they won’t? Plus, would he then stay a baby forever? And if so would he become smarter, but just remain baby size, or would his mental capacity not grow? Is this why Charlotte is having problems? She is having nose bleeds like Des was when he was bouncing around in time and needed a constant. Charlotte said she needed to find out where she was born, not when. What does that mean?

What about Miles? Why isn’t he bouncing with the Others since he was born on the island.

When the hatch comes back does that mean Des is in it? Or is it the other guys? What were their names? The guy who becomes a splotch on the ceiling?

Ah it is Des! LOL he’s dressed in the yellow suit.

Des is uniquely and miraculously special?!!!! What does that mean and how does Dan know this? Dan knows much that he is not telling. Sawyer needs to sit on him and make him talk.

Holy crap it’s Ana Lucia!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!! Oh yeah, Libby says hi!

What did Ben take out of the vent?

LOL that Hurley’s dad puts caviar in his sammy!

Alright there was Vincent!!!

Holy crap! I totally jumped and freaked out Dingo Dog when Frogurt (LOL) got hit with the flaming aarow. You just knew he was going to be a red shirt since he was such a dweeb! The Others must be shooting at them! They wouldn’t know who they are.

Side note: Grey’s looks great but I want to frickin punch self-righteous Derek!

Sun says “they” want Aaron. Claire was told that she had to raise Aaron. Are the “they” that are after Aaron now, the “they” that the psychic was talking about?

Sun tells Kate I don’t blame you, then asks “How’s Jack?” She blames Jack, so hmmmmm. I don’t know if I trust her. Esp. after she visited with Widmore. Remember that Ben told Locke something about life getting in the way and changing how you see things after Alex was killed? Well I think the same thing is going on with Sun. She is bent on revenge and will do whatever it takes. I’m thinking of Ben killing Keemy even thou that meant killing everyone on the freighter.

Somewhere along the line Ben and Sayid had a falling out. Did we see that and I don’t remember or do we have yet to see that?

Side Note: A new Nathon Fillian show!!! Castle!!

AAAAAAA – it’s the little old lady! Only 70 Hours or God help us all!

Thought she was Dan’s mom at first. Is Mrs. Hawking his mom? hmmm

Very interesting what she was doing. And Ben went right to her.

God I want MORE!!!!

JO DEE MESSINA becomes a mom!
It's a boy - Noah Roger was born Monday at 1pm weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces. Congrats to Jo Dee and her husband Chris Deffenbaugh. Jo Dee and Chris were married in 2007. Baby Noah will be heading out on tour with mom starting in April when she goes out to promote her new album (YAY! a new album!) "Unmistakable." You bet she'll be getting advice from the pros - Martina and Sara - about taking babies on the road.

BILLY CURRINGTON has the new number one in the land with "Don't." It's the first single from his current album "Little Bit of Everything." It's an album he recorded after going thru therapy to deal with his anger issues (his song "Walk a Little Straighter" was based on his real life when he was 12). He said he only wanted happy songs on the album, and now this one is really making him happy!

MARTINA McBRIDE will have a new album out on March 24th. "Shine" features her current hit "Ride."

REBA MCENTIRE is working on a new CD - her first solo studio project in six years. She says, "I have really enjoyed looking for songs this time around. I spent time with publishers and songwriters, plus I've even done a little writing myself!" Her last CD "Duets" is one of my favs so I hope the new one is just as good - of course it will be! It's Miss Reba!

TRACE ADKINS will make several appearances this week

January 21st - The Late Late Show with Craig Gerguson - singing "Marry for Money"

Did you see GARTH BROOKS or JENNIFER NETTLES (from Sugarland) perform as part of the "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial?" I caught GARTH yesterday (channel 8 on my cable network was running the HBO event!). He sang "American Pie," "Shout!," and "We Shall Be Free." JENNIFER sang earlier in the day with JOHN LEGEND and JAMES TAYLOR for "Shower the People." One part I saw as I kept channel surfing over was so cute. They showed President-Elect Obama and behind him was an adorable child who looked about 6 sound asleep! LOL

KENNY CHESNEY is set to make his first appearance at the Grammy's February 8th as a performer. He says, "It's funny... I've been part of some amazing TV things that have brought all kinds of performers together -- Willie Nelson's 70th Birthday Party, Genius: A Night for Ray Charles -- but there's just something about the Grammy Awards." About his performance Kenny says. "You know when you walk out on that stage you're with the very best of every kind of music there is, and it's a place where you feel like when you get the call, it really means something."

Did you see JIMMY WAYNE today on "WGN Midday News." He sang four songs, including "I Will" and "Do You Believe Me Now." He visited the local Chicago news program in conjunction with his appearance Saturday at the two-day Mega Winterfest in St. Charles, Illinois. Several lucky WXRO listeners won tickets to that big event!

Martina McBride will sing the national anthem befoer the Pittsburgh Steelers Baltimore Ravins National Football League AFC Championship game this weekend. This is the game to determine who goes to the Super Bowl. Could Martina give the Steelers the edge? She's performed at 31 NFL games over the course of her career, and at 26 of those games the home team ended up winning. The Steelers and Ravens will face off at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field on Sunday.

People's Choice Awards

Did you watch the show? I confess to just channel surfing over. Bones and Patrick Swayze had my attention last night. Love Bones and Patrick, and I cried buckets over both!

I do have the winners and pictures (because that's the best part anyway!) I was lucky to see Carrie Underwood win Fav. Female, Robin Williams win Scene Stealer, and Goldie Hawn, I mean Kate Hudson win. (seriously that girl looks just like her mom! See the picture to the right as proof.)

So here's the important stuff.

Carrie Underwood looking stunning on the red carpet!

A complete list of winners at the 35th annual People's Choice Awards:

_ Movie: "The Dark Knight" (the most amazing movie I have seen this year! I hope it wins an Oscar for Heath Ledger - I didn't see the Indian Jones movie, which shocks so many people, but I did see the other competition to Dark Knight Iron Man and thought that was a spectacular movie too - I am such a geek!)

_ TV drama: "House"
_ TV comedy: "Two and a Half Men"
_ TV animated comedy: "The Simpsons"
_ Sci-fi/fantasy show: "Heroes" (I love this show, but the winner should have been the most amazing show on TV - when LOST isn't on - and that would be Supernatural!!!!! The other show up was also awesome - Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicles. But Supernatural should have won!!!! - but since it is on the CW and not a big network like NBC it doesn't quite have the same numbers watching - but you should be!)

Carrie Accepting for Fav. Female Singer.

To the right is Carrie in the dress she wore to perform "I Know You Won't" and also with Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts.

_ User-generated video: "Barack Roll"

Here are a few of the outfits I really liked. Paris Hilton's dress was just pretty! I want it. Queen Latifah looked great, and I loved the trousersuit Katherine Heigel wore. (I bet Barney on How I Met Your Mother would approve of her "suiting up!")

I hate to be catty but I really disliked what Terri Hatcher was wearing. Well, I think the dress was OK, but on her gaunt frame with that icky hairstyle I just wanted to run out and buy her a sandwich.

WYNONNA JUDD has been in the biz for 25 years! How will she celebrate this anniversary? By doing what she does best, releasing an album - her 7th album. It will be called "Sing" and it comes out February 3rd. Wynonna says she hopes the songs will effect her fans emotionally, "I think that's what my job is, is to get people to stop with the facade, to lift the veil and to get real."

Did you watch AMERICAN IDOL last season? What did you think of Kristy Lee Cook? To be honest, I wasn't a fan, but I thought her first effort "15 Minutes of Shame" was pretty good. It will be the last song we hear from her for awhile though as she was let go by her record label recently. But, she is in talks with major label for a new deal. Kristy was signed with Arista records-home to Carrie Underwood and Alan Jackson. She told the Grant Pass' Daily Courier, "We're kind of glad that we got released because we weren't getting the attention we need." I guess Arista just wasn't that interested because this was her second time with the label---she was first signed to Arista back when she was just 17. (I remember a bunch of Idol fans were pretty upset about some of the talent last season already having a shot at being a star. I guess those people don't believe in second chances!)

It's New Year's, are you making any resolutions? I'm not and for the same reason as REBA MCENTIRE. We know we'll just break them! It seems last year she resolved to stop gossiping saying, "I imagined that every time I talk bad about people, my throat was going to get sore and that was my punishment .. .That is a hard habit to break, I promise you." Ms. Reba will have a new album out on her new label the Valory Music Group (home to Jimmy Wayne and Jewel) later this summer. (ahhh Summer!)
