Coming soon - Phrase of Fire.

It's a chance to win tickets to the Fireside Dinner Theater in Fort Atkinson to see their new show Ring of Fire.

The contest runs July 12 - July 16.

Every day for a week you'll see a different picture of the Man in Black with part of a phrase.

At the end of the week you will have all the parts of the phrase.

You'll need to arrange the parts into the winning phrase.

Sugarland "Incredible Machine" Release Date

October 19th!!! SWEET!!! Cannot wait for this CD to come out!!

Cannot wait 'til July 26th when I am suppose to get the first single "Stuck Like Glue."

Sugarland has NOT played the song in concert - they are keeping it a secret but they say, "'Stuck Like Glue' is just plain, unashamed, Sugar-fun!" Jennifer says, "It sticks in your brain, no pun intended. To me it feels young, hip and of course sassy! I can't wait for it to get out there so we can play it live in our show. We've been sitting on our hands to not play it live 'til it was released."

I'm told it's along the lines of "All I Want To Do" so Zach look for me to sing along and throw my arms in the air!

Trace Adkins New CD has a New Arrival Date

Look for it a week earlier.

Cowboy's Back in Town is now due August 17th.

There will be 2 versions available.

The Original version features his new song "This Ain't No Love Song" and "Ala-Freakin' Bama."

The Deluxe version adds four more songs including "Hillbilly Bone."

It's Trace's first CD with Toby Keith and Mark Wright's label Show Dog - Universal Music.

Trace says, "There's an excitement surrounding this whole new chapter in our lives, and it's reflected in the work I've done on this record. The musicians I brought together are longtime friends, and it doesn't get much better than that. I had a great time making it, I'm in a great spot creatively, and I think all that shows in the way it sounds."

I'm bummed I won't be on the air to play it for you on the 17th as I'll be in full blow Dodge County Fair mode at that time. At least I'll have something to put a smile on my face when things get stressful.

Jimmy Buffett's Beach Concert Postponed

Tropical Storm Alex is to blame. Jimmy's beachfront show to support the Gulf Coast residents affected by the BP oil spill was suppose to be Thursday, but with "Alex" blowing in there's been a change of plans.

The new show is now July 11th.

Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band were originally scheduled but not yet confirmed for the new date.

Also, "CMT Presents Jimmy Buffett & Friends Live from the Gulf Coast" might not happen as CMT.com says they might not be able to provide the live broadcast on the new date.

Let's hope it all works out.

Jimmy Dean Passes Away

Update 6/16

Jimmy will be laid to rest in a mausoleum shaped like a grand piano. His widow, Donna Dean, says he purchased it several years ago. The inscription will be his name, birth and death dates, and the line "Here lies one hell of a man" (of course, from Big Bad John). The piano shaped tomb will look out onto the James River in Varnia, Virginia. Mrs. Dean says, "He'd always said he would never want to leave his beloved Chaffin's Bluff."

He died Sunday at the age of 81. There aren't many details yet on his death or funeral arrangements, but reportedly, a service is being planned for the Nelson Funeral Home in Richmond.

Of course, we all remember the Country Music Hall of Famer for "Big Bad John," and his yummy Jimmy Dean Sausage.

Earlier this year he was inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he'll be formally welcomed later this year.

Last year he was inducted into the Meat Industry Hall of Fame.

Condolences to his family and friends.
