Darryl is going to be part of the Stars For Stripes' "We've Not Forgotten" trip that will entertain troops in Iraq. Some of the many dates feature Darryl with his band, but he'll also be doing some acoustic shows at remote Forward Operating Bases (these are often not included in celebrity tours - prolly 'cuz very dangerous).The tour runs April 20th thru May 3rd.
Darryl is himself an Army veteran, and says, "In some small way, this is just our way to say thanks in honor of their sacrifice, but it could never compare to what these soldiers do for us every day. Seeing their undying allegiance and loyalty to the cause is so inspiring. Those young men and women are so phenomenal and because of what they do, we are all very fortunate to have the lifestyle and freedom that we have."
