Jimmy Wayne Walkin' in the New Year

Jimmy Wayne has a big heart and hopefully a great pair of walking shoes. To help America's homeless Jimmy will launch the "Meet Me Halfway" campaign Jan. 1st. That's when he will start a solo walk from nashville to Phoenix, AZ - yes he is going to walk halfway across the USofA. 1400 miles!

It's going to be tough and Jimmy knows it. "It's going to be cold, rainy and maybe even snowing and that ground I sleep on at night is going to be really hard. But that's what the homeless are dealing with each and every winter they go without a home of their own."

The goal of "Meet Me Halfway" is to bring attention to the issue and raise money. Jimmy really wants to focus on groups that reach out to teens and young adults who are at risk - thou all organizations that help the homeless will benefit as well.

Jimmy says, "Our country is too great for us to have people who are suffering so...We as a nation have got to end homelessness and we've got to help these kids."

Biggest News I Missed While On Vacation

Carrie Underwood got engaged! Congrats Carrie and Mike Fisher - Mike asked Carrie on December 20th to be his bride. Carrie wrote on her blog, "I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year...a fiancé! Woo hoo! Little Ace is finally going to have a dad! We all couldn't be happier!!!" (Ace is her rat terrier.) No wedding plans yet but they say they'd like to have their ceremony over the summer.

Congrats Carrie! And Mike of course.

15 Million-Air Man

We love Steve Wariner!

Last Tuesday Steve was honored by BMI with Million-Air Awards for writing and publishing four songs.

His awards came for Clint Black's "Nothin' But the Taillights," Keith Urban's "Where the Blacktop Ends," his CMA winner "Holes In the Floor of Heaven," and "I Should Be With You."

Steve now has a total of 15 Million-Air Awards!

ACM's Making Some Changes

Starting in 2010 there will be a few changes to the nominations.

Eight acts in the running for the top prize - Entertainer of the Year (which Carrie Underwood won in 2009). Normally it's five.

The Top New Male Vocalist and Top New Female Vocalist categories will be combined to become the Top New Solo Vocalist.

The current Top New Vocal Duo or Group will be split into separate categories - top New Vocal Duo and Top New Vocal Group (I think 'cuz we now have more of each).

Academy of Country Music Executive Director Bob Romeo says the Academy Board, "felt these changes reflect what is happening in country music."

Remaining the same - fans will still determine the winners, and the Top New Solo Vacalist, Top New Vocal Duo and Top New Vocal Group will be contenders for the Top New Artist Award (I have to say - I like this).

Nominees will be announced in February.

Yowza Reba!

Do you remember the dress Reba wore at the CMA's in 1993 when she sang her duet with Linda Davis? It was a hot little number that has quite a plunging neckline. (I'm sure she had some double sided tape in use that night to make sure the "girls" stayed put!) Well, the Sandy Spika dress will be featured at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum through June 13th in a new exhibit called "Reba McEntire: Put On Your Red Dress, Baby." (lol) That dress caused quite a stir that night in 1993. Vince Gill won Entertainer of the Year that night, but Reba said she, "got more press off that dress than if I'd won Entertainer of the Year."

Here's the video from that night for your enjoyment.

Another Rocker Goes Country

Did you know that Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley brother is a pop star? Josh Kelley debuted in 2003 with the pop hit "Amazing" and then in 2005 had a Top 10 hit with "Only You."

Now he's going Country! Record label UMG (artists on their roster = Sugarland, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack and Jamey Johnson) signed Josh to a deal in September and he is currently working on an album for next year.

Josh says, “Universal is a perfect home for me and my music. They have an awesome track record of allowing artists to be who they really are, and have already been so supportive of my new music. I’m stoked to be part of such a talented group of artists and staff.”

Well, he's pretty talented, so let's see what happens.

Oh, and Josh, he's married to, Katherine Heigl (yeah, from Grey's Anatomy). They just adopted a baby! Josh did make his home in Nashville before marrying Katherine.

CASE DISMISSED! ::bangs gavel::

John Rich heard that twice last Friday.

Remember that incident between John and former "Nashville Star" contestant Jared Ashley last March at John's Nashville club? In his testimony John did admit that he pushed Jared while throwing him out of his club, but Davidson County General Sessions Judge Aaron Holt said that John was justified and didn't hurt Jared, saying, "This was a private club, there was no evidence of physical injuries, or pictures of bruising or cuts." So CASE DISMISSED!

Also CASE DISMISSED for the harassment charge Jared filed against John.

As you can imagine, John was happy saying, "Everyone knows now I am not out there doing the things I've been accused of.'' He also said it felt good to be vindicated.

Julianne & Dancing With the Stars

Julianne Hough won't be returning to the smash ABC show in the spring. She will continue to concentrate on her music career. Julianne may be back in the fall - she says she'll, "cross that bridge" when it nears.

Julianne is working on her sophomore album, and she has been spending time on the road.

She has been working so hard that she and Chuck Wicks are taking a break - they were barely seeing each other.

Julianne started on Dancing With the Stars in 2007 as a pro. She danced with Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno and Indy racer Helio Castroneves -- and won that Disco Ball trophy both times!

The Judds Might Tour in 2010!

The Judds had to retire in 1991 (I know, almost 20 years ago!) when Naomi contracted hepatitis C - and as you can imagine, she has missed the stage, well, more like the love from the crowd.

They performed at last summer's CMA Music Fest and Wynonna said, "We sang for 50,000 people, and they sang back to us and it was a holy moment. On the drive home I thought, 'You know, I really appreciate where I've come from and the people do too, and they love the Judds music and it hasn't disappeared.' I just thought, 'You know, I think it's time.'"

Wynonna told Billboard magazine, "We are 'in talks,' so there's nothing that's been defined yet. I just felt it in my spirit. A couple weeks ago I said, 'It's 2010. It's been 25 years. It's take-your-mother-to-work year.' It just feels like it's the right time. She'll be 64 in January, and I think it's time - not the whole year, but it's just going to be a way to celebrate her."

I'll keep you updated on this very exciting news. Maybe we'll see them give Sugarland a run for their money at next years CMA's!

Is Carrie Underwood Living In Sin?

No she is not - so stop gossiping already!

Rumors have been flying that Carrie and #12 Mike Fisher have moved in together, but Carrie told Celebrity-Gossip.net, "Neither of us would ever do that. I would never live with my boyfriend...not my style."

This has also been confirmed by Carrie's rep.

Julianne & Chuck - Splitsville?

There has been a lot of back and forth for a week now about Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough - have they split or not?

Before the CMA's we were told yes, then Chuck came out and said that they were "going to address what's going on in our personal life together" as he hedged on their breakup.

Julianne is now telling "People" magazine they have split. She said, "We're both just really, really busy with our careers, and we spend a lot of time apart from each other - so we're just taking a little break right now."

They are still great friends who hang out and write together. They were each other's date for the CMA's.

CMA RATINGS

ABC was in first place Wednesday night thanks to the Country Music Awards. Nearly 36-million watched at least some of the show - just under 17-million of us watched the whole thing.

CBS was in 2nd place with just over 11.3-million thruout the night.

ABC won the night among all key demographics - that would be Adults, Men, Women, Teens, and Kids. And ABC attracted an even larger portion of adults under 50 (68% more) than CBS.

It was ABC's largest Wednesday audience for a non-sporting event in more than four years.

And what was that last big event? Why the CMA's in 2005!

Country Music is awesome (just ask Patricia Heaten! heehee)

Sorry, I'm crying FOWL!! Especially when you look at tonight's performances. Love you Taylor, but your voice needs to mature more.

LOL to her being good since she got a hug from Kris.

CMA Live Blog

Oooo I really like Carrie's dress. Went buy to fast and too complicated to describe.

Jason Aldean's big hit Big Green Tractor.

It's actually, kind of, a lackluster performance. No energy.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES = BARBARA MANDRELL, ROY CLARK & CHARLIE McCOY

Martina performing with Charlie McCoy in her tribute to Barbara Mandrell. I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool. Nice dress, and nice voice.

Oh, here comes George Strait - and Barbara Mandrell is thrilled.

Barbara Mandrell looks gorgeous! Love her dress.

I don't know where Roy Clark was.

CMA Live Blog

Taylor is performing Fifteen acoustically surrounded by very excited fans with signs, and they sing along nicely. She is much better here than at the beginning.

Yikes, I'm gonna say it again, what is up with LeAnn Rimes makeup? Someone went for Smokey and came up with Night of the Living Dead. Just aweful!

MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR = BRAD PAISLEY

CMA Live Blog

Finally! Brooks & Dunn and Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top! Honky Tonk Stomp.

Kix is rockin' the mandolin!

LOL, at first I thought Billy wasn't wearing his usual hat, but he is, under the, uh, other one (what kind is it?).

Yeah! That ws fun! Look at B&D takin' it all in. Ronnie looks like he's tearing up.

Jamey Johnson and Kid Rock - alright I hear twang!
I am loving Somewhere Between Jennings and Jones!
Cool - Jamey's guitar has all kinds of signatures on it.
Jamey sure can sing country, but he looks like he'd be at home in The Amityville Horror. (it's that beard!)

Dale Jr. & Julianne Hough. Love Julianne's dark, dark green glitter dress with cap sleeves.

OK - who's bidding on that car for me?
VOCAL DUO = SUGARLAND!!!
YES! I'M SO GLAD I CHANGED MY MIND AND WENT WITH WHO I REALLY WANTED TO WIN.

Salute to the troops - look at 'em all there! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

SUGARLAND!!!!!!!
Keep You! Super song!
Oh, look at Jen's pretty black dress.
It's kinda sad that Jen can't win Female Vocalist - she would have my vote!

Randy Houser and Robin Roberts. They are talking about Little Drake Dixon from Randy's video. There he is with Kellie Pickler - he is sooooooooo cute!

ALBUM OF THE YEAR = FEARLESS by TAYLOR SWIFT
She's cute jumping up and down - such a pretty dress. So cute with her dancing.

MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR = MAC MACANALLY

Hey, guess who's coming up next? Why Brooks & Dunn with their final CMA performance - I had no idea - thanks for telling me.

The Blind Side looks pretty good.

CMA Live Blog

Oooo, I really like Carrie's dress. Pretty yellow with purple flowers, and flares at the bottom. It's my fav so far tonight.

Hahahahahaha Little Jimmie Dickens is doing a Kayne West bit interrupting Brad accepting video of the year saying Taylor deserved to win.

Keith Urban singing a new song (oof he's sooooooooooo hot!) 'Til Summer Comes Around.
I'm feeling pretty good about picking him for Male Vocalist, let me tell you. He's so sweet as he salutes his band.

Oh, Brad changed again - his shirt kinda matches Carrie's dress.

Tim's singing Southern Voice. Uh oh, a bit of a stumble at the beginning. Handled it like a champ thou.

I'm getting a little tired of the "Brooks & Dunn play the CMA's for the last time" coming up announcement. We get it, you're a big tease Mr. Promo Man!

CMA Live Blog

Carrie singing Cowboy Casanova!

I like her outfit. (I wonder if she has to practice getting in and out of her outfits). OK, when she stands I don't like it so much - the short shorts and how she's standing, well let's just say it doesn't look very nice. But the guys might like it.

Brad says The Judds are like family. And Naomi's hair looks black again, well purple this time. I like the shorter jacket better on her.

Presenting...

BEST NEW ARTIST = DARIUS RUCKER!!!
WHOO HOO!!
::more cartwheels::

Loved his speech!

LOL to Brad's jokes about Carrie and Little Jimmie Dickens.

Oh, here we go - Vince and Daughtry. Great song! Tennessee Line! They better send it to country radio to play! It's more country than Taylor's new song! Yeah! Daughtry on country radio! Yeah! Vince Gill on rock/alternative radio!

CMA Live Blog

George Strait sings Twang! LOVE IT!

Oh look, Brad changed his outfit - hard to tell. LOL

Love Need You Now - such a great song by Lady A! On the red carpet Hillary Scott said the lyric was so honest and I know our own Stefani Bishop said the same thing.

I love the "snow" that is falling while they sing to each other!

God Patricia Heaten and Neal Flynn. Well, she no longer looks like she regrets having to be there.

I can't believe they are presenting Group.

GROUP OF THE YEAR = LADY ANTEBELLUM!!!!!!
YES!! YES!!! YES!!!
I TOTALLY CALLED IT!!!!!
::cartwheels::

Hey, right now during a commercial (for what Idk - but there are merekats everywhere) the song is I Run to You.

Oh, I'm so excited - this was a big winning pick for me!!!

CMA Live Blog

Carrie's wearing a sparlky strawberry colored dress to intro Brad and Welcome To the Future. Love his glittery guitar and the pacman game on the back video screens.

Oooo Zac Brown Band doing Devil Went Down to Georgia. NICE! Whoooo Hoooo! Awesome!
Photobucket YEAH! He sang it with the son of a bitch line!

Wow - I really want to see them in concert now! They are amazing and can really play!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!

They got a standing O! Good for them!

CMA Live Blog

I love watching Miranda play that pink guitar. She really gets into it.

Oh, a Kenny Chesney shot - he's cute in his typical blue shirt and cowboy hat. lol

Taylor sings again coming up - hope she's better.

CMA Live Blog

LOL to Brad and Carrie's hot joke. ::snorting here:: Swine Flu parady to Blue.

Carrie's dress is pretty - short, red, ruffles from one shoulder down the skirt diagonally.

Darius Rucker is gonna Sing!!! Yay!!

Alright! The song silly, thou he is Alright too!

Oh, he's going into the audience to sing. Cool.

I have always loved Darius - and his voice is what I call a "toe curler" and there really aren't too many of them for me. I would really like him to win Male Vocalist, but I don't think it's his year. I am soooooooooo glad country music has got him! You rock people canNOT have him back. :P

Kellie Pickler and Jake Owen are presenting. Jake owen has a purple and black checked jacket on. Kellie is still in her liquid red carpet dress, and if you're just tuning in her hair is a reddish brown. Very pretty.

SONG OF THE YEAR = IN COLOR by JAMEY JOHNSON

Miranda is singing White Liar. Love it!!

CMA Live Blog

Taylor's song is a great reason why she should win Entertainer (OMG she just thew a chair!) but her voice is very weak! The ending is much better as she belt's out "back up baby."

BTW - she sang her new one "Forever and Always" and it will be a smash!

Looks like Bubba is there with dad George and mama Norma.

Carrie's dress is sparkly cool. Love Brad's coat and tie.

Like the Kayne song parady to Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.

George looks great!

ROFLMAO at the D-I-V-O-R-C-E parady to Brooks & Dunn.

LMAO at the perfume joke aimed at Tim & Faith.

Here comes Kid Rock. Love his sparkly shirt. Kid Rock is sexy ugly (see the movie Kissing Jessica Stein to get that joke).
He's presenting Single of the Year (go People Are Crazy!)

SINGLE OF YEAR WINNER = "I Run to You"
Great song!

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Brad and Kim getting their pix taken. Love Kims colorful dress.

Keith has a new tattoo on his left pec! Let's see it!! Come on, rip his shirt off camera girl. He said it was a birthday gift.

SHOW TIME!!

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Sugarland is awesome - Jen's dress is gorgeous, stapless mermaid with a nice ruffly train.

Martina is teasing a cool performance. Who could she be singing with?

I like Miranda Lambert's dress, but I don't think it's flattering on her. Maybe it's my TV - sometimes it makes people look wider than they are.

Keith and Nicole have arrivced. Love Nic's dress, Keith looks casual and elgant.

Faith and Tim look gorgeous. I love Faith's grey gown and all her necklaces. OMG - Katie just asked if they've decorated for the holidays! Gosh! It looks like Tim is wearing guy-liner.

Oh, they just showed a shot of a very cute Billy Currington!

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Martina McBride looks pretty. Her hair is amazing with some volume in it. The angle is not flattering for this dress here.

Oh, I see close up Naomi Judds hair is not black - musta been the light. Wow Wy's is something with it's color (it's like a candy apple). I'm still saying they are on the worst dressed list.

Wow Kellie Pickler has changed her hair color - light reddish brown. She's wearing an awesome dress - it does look like silver liquid.

Big Kenny is in the background with a big top hat on. Prolly his wife with him in a big top hat too, not sure who the girls are. They are acting like a wedding party for their pix.

Oh, it's the little cutie from Randy Houser's Boots On video. Ahhh hahahahaha, he's Kellie Pickler's date. His little suit is adorable. Sweetie pie.

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Oh I love Taylor's dress. Gold and glittery on top, and flowing light gold on the bottom. Like a lovely princess.

Daughtry and Vince Gill! Daughtry just dropped Richard Marx's name. LOL Vince is barely talking. lol Vince looks casual in black pants and coat, but Daughtry had a great jacket on.

Blake Shelton getting interviewed. Hunting joke! lol Jake is wearing Wranglers and boots, and his sports coat is fancy black paisley's I believe. Was just asked where Miranda was, and he said he didn't know and wasn't allowed near her. lol

Reba's turn for an interview. Reba's dress was designed by herself and Terry Gordon. She's singing Consider Me Gone (yay!). I believe Reba is covered in glitter. Love her eye makeup. Oh yeah, Reba's going on the road with George Strait next year.

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Carrie's red carpet dress is beautiful. Like a disco ball - yes that's a compliment.

OMG - Patricia Heaton's outfit is awful - she is on the worst dress list for sure! Patricia and Neil are presenting and I think it's stupid!!!! Drives me crazy that the networks plug there shows with actors - it is not their night! Maybe it's just that I am finding them LAME! I don't think they are very excited to be there - they were prolly told that their show (The Middle - which is a Malcolm in the Middle rip off) would be the one promoted so they had to go.

Zac Brown Band is there. All look great in nice suits (Zac's tie is a nice popping green), and I see that Zac is wearing his signature stocking cap. Gotta say I would rather see his head! lol Uh oh, Zac just said "toes in the water, ass in the sand." Where's the censor!

I see LeAnn Rimes. Love her dress, hate her makeup. I think it's LeAnn, gosh with that makeup it's hard to tell. No, it's her. heehee

Dale Jr.'s getting interviewed, but I was paying attention to LeAnn so no idea what he's saying. lol

Oh gosh, the Judds are going on the Worst Dressed List. Wy is kinda boring, her mom is wearing a long jacket and dress, but it's her black hair I really don't like.

Joe Nichols looks great.

Again they show Lady A and Hillary looks like she's slouching or something.

CMT Red Carpet for CMA's

Lady Antebellum talking with Katie. This is something I think only a girl would notice. You can tell Hillary is new to this - her posture was designed to make her look the best, and you could tell she was uncomfortable (but dang girl - you did look great). I also think it's hilarious that Katie gets a little offended at tmi about bathroom behavior on the bus, when she's the once that brought it up with her seats down question to Hillary.
Notice how she's standing, it just looks awkward.

Reba is looking stunning and playful in a glittery black dress.

Garth in Vegas Baby!

You've heard that Garth is going to be doing Weekend shows in Vegas at the Encore Theater and if you're excited tickets go on sale this Saturday.

And Garth is being his old cool self. Even thou Steve Wynn (chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts) wanted to charge for seats using a tier system, Garth said no. He wanted seats to all be priced the same, so they are first come first serve. So front row seats and balcony seats cost the same. How much? $125. (well, a $5 service charge and $13 tax = $143/ticket)

You might recall that this is the same way he handled tickets for his concerts back in his touring days (and Steve Wynn says they have taken measures so scalpers won't be able to rip you off!) Garth says, “We've always been a one-ticket-price person. If your'e in the rafters, if you're down in the front seat, and it's all about just the draw. And I feel lucky for people to show up.”

Garth will be doing four shows a week - 15 weekends a year - one concert Friday, two Saturday, and one Sunday. The first five weekends have been booked - one weekend in December, two in January, and two in February.

The first show is December 12th - and tickets go on sale this Saturday.

I am very excited to see what I can find for my new house. (as if I need an excuse - but that's a good one, right?)

Congrats John Rich and his wife Joan!

They're going to have their first baby!

Do You Look Like Any of these Characters?

Or know someone who does?

Oh, I am totally serious. And so is Garth Brooks?

WTF?

Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood are two of the celebrity judges for the "Peanuts" 60th Anniversary Photo Look-a-Like Contest. Also judging will be "Supernanny" Jo Frost (love her!), and Jill Schulz, the daughter of "Peanuts" creator Charles M. Schulz. Info on the contest, including entering, can be found at www.peanutsphotcontest.com.

YAY Country Music!

On October 8th the U.S. House of Representatives passed Resolution 650, which, quote, "declares country music to be a uniquely American art form" and "recognizes that country music should be honored for its contributions to American life and culture."

Florida Representative Clifford Stearns sponsored the legislation.

COOL!!

To Tweet or Not To Tweet

That is the question faced by all of us now isn't it? Afterall, we have to have all the details in everyone's life 'cuz we are so busy in our own we might miss something, right?

Many stars love to Twitter. Reba has even named her followers Tweebas! Brad Paisley Twittered after he won an award recently - from the podium as he accepted.

But don't look for Tim McGraw or Carrie Underwood to follow suit.

Tim told the Wall Street Journal, "As far as I'm concerned, there's a two-mile no-Twitter zone around me. The reason the music experience works is it's a vicarious thing. You go to a movie and you picture yourself on screen. You go to a concert and you picture yourself on stage. If you're too involved, all the magic's gone."

Love that!
BUT...how do you establish that "No Twitter Zone?"

That seems to be one of the reasons Carrie doesn't like it - she finds it a bit frightening, telling Billboard, "It just sounds like organized stalking to me. I'll be in a restaurant and I'll get home, and somebody Tweeted and talked about what I ordered and what I was wearing. In some cases that could be dangerous because you don't want everybody to know where you are in every second of every day."

Sounds like Carrie has a very valid point!

Can You Yodel?

When you think of yodelers who comes to mind? No not the little Price Is Right guy! How about Jewel and LeAnn Rimes? They are judging as are Randy Jackson (Yo dawg, that Yodel was just a'ight. A little pitchy for me), Pete Wentz, Kimberly Caldwell, and Rob Cavallo.

YOUR DOGS TRICKS COULD BE WORTH A GRAND

So your pooch can do some pretty cool tricks. Well, Steve Martin wants to see them!

There is one catch.

Your doggie video must go along with the fast banjo picking on his song "Wally on the Run." Wally is Steve's dog. The creator of the winning video could get $1000.

"Wally on the Run" is on his Bluegrass album The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo.

Check out www.SteveMartin.com for the details.

Julianne Hough's new movie

Yes she is in the blasphemous remake of Footloose (I am soooooooooooo not on board with that remake! :(

But she is going to be in the new movie Burlesque with pop singer Christina Aguilera (girl can sing!) and Cher (oh yeah, that girl can sing too!).

The movie focuses on Christina's character who is a small town girl who finds love, family, and success in a Los Angeles cabaret-type club. Cher plays the club owner. Julianne will be a...dancer! She started rehearsals last week. Also showing up in the movie - Stanley Tucci (who I remember as an ER chief before Angela Basset held down the job - he slept with Abby - to her shame!) and YAY!! ::happy dance:: Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars herself!!) and from Twilight, Cam Gigandet.

Look for the film November 2010.

The Footloose (expletive) is suppose to be out in June (and a POX on that film!).

TOBY KEITH - Artist/Songwriter of the DECADE

Congrats to Toby who is ::clears throat:: the Nashville Songwriters Association International 2000 - 2009 Artist Songwriter of the Decade.

Sunday night Toby accepted the honor at the 39th anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony.

Toby called it "the most presitgious thing that I've ever been given." He said "We've had a big ten years and I've worked my butt off writing songs. I take a lot of pride in knowing that only about four things have ever been released in 16 years that were singles that I didn't write. So, you know, 99% of the stuff I write, and it's just, to have your peers who are the lifeblood of this industry - songwriters - recognize you is unbelievable. It's very humbling, but it's tremendous gratification, too."
Toby's current number one - "American Ride" would be one of the four songs that he didn't write that he has released.

Other honorees last night were Craig Wiseman who won the 2000- 2009 Songwriter of the Decade and Taylor Swift who won the Artist/Songwriter of the Year award (wouldn't be surprised to see her take that Decade award this time ten years from now - OMG - I do NOT want to think about that! heehee). Also Tammy Wynette and songwriters Kye Fleming and Mark D. Sanders were inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Blake & Trace's New Song!

It's great!

It's called "Hillybilly Bone" and you bet WXRO is playing it already.

The only place you can get it is to head over to Blake Shelton's website.

It's there free for two weeks!

Blake said, "When I first heard 'Hillbilly Bone' I knew it was one of those songs that would kick the door down, and who better to kick the door down with me than my buddy Trace?"

He called it "One of those songs you can't get out of your head, and for Trace and I both, it was one of those songs that made sense since we are pretty much both 'Hillbilly' to the core."

This will be the first single from his next CD which is the follow up to 2008's "Startin' Fires."

And to that I say WHAT??? Come on Blake - we haven't had much music from your last two CD's! Sheesh! (I really wish artists would go deeper on their CD's!)
