George Strait Ratings

WINNER!!!

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The "George Strait: ACM Artist Of The Decade All Star Concert" drew more than 10.6 million viewers, and had the highest number of households tuning in.

It was an AWESOME show so I really glad to see this!

Good news on the New Music From King George page.
The new album will be called "Twang" (it's coming out in the fall) and the first single is "Living For the Night." As soon as I get it I'll start playing it - should be any day now!!

George Strait - ACM Artist of the Decade

The concert was FABULOUS!!! I want them to put a cd out 'cuz I loved every performance and would buy a cd!! Soooo Sooooo Good!!!

Here was my fav of the night - Jamey Johnson and Lee Ann Womack performing "Give It Away"

My second favorite performance of the night was Jamie Foxx and his super sexy rendition of "You Look So Good in Love." OMG I just melted!!

All past recipients of The Artist of the Decade were honored and Martina sang a Garth Brooks tune for a very special reason.

Alan Jackson gave a rousing rendition of "The Fireman"

Dierks Bentley performed "Blue Clear Sky" and did mighty fine :)

Taylor Swift performed her fav George Strait tune "Run" (note to Taylor - my freshman year of high school called and it wants that headband back :p

Lovely LeAnn Rimes performed "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind?"

Garth Brooks was the ACM Artist of the Decade for the 90's so he presented George with his award. (sidenote - the next time we do this it will be 2019!!! Holy Frak!)

The show had a super ending.

Two hours and I just wanted more!! What a wonderful concert event this was!

WOOT!!

Yay!! Kris Allen was the big winner on American Idol. Lots of hate in the Blog-verse about it, but GET OVER IT! They were both terrific, but Kris won! And musta been a big margain since Ryan didn't mention that it was close! HA!

Here's the big moment.

OK - I have a few of the great performances for you.

Like Kris and Keith on "Kiss a Girl"

How about Adam and Kris with Queen? FANTASTIC!

Then there was Adam with KISS!! OMG - FABULOUS! I am an original KISS Army member and loved it! Starting with his version of "Beth" (*sigh* My fav Peter Chriss/KISS song).

Another great moment was Allison and Cyndi Lauper.

A great funny moment was Kara upstaging "Bikini" Girl.

Celebrity Apprentice Finale

Only one episode to go - a 3 hour bonanza that begins at 7pm on NBC Sunday.

Clint Black went home last week - and at first I was a bit upset. I really did like his jingle better (I am actually still humming it whereas, no matter what Annie Duke said, I cannot remember hers! I might not remember all the words, but I definitely have the melody in my head!), and KOTU's commercial was also a million times better. I'm not sure who was making the decisions at Chicken of the Sea, but they were not the right ones. LOL

OK - so I got over being upset that Clint went when I realized that we were gonna get down to the final two, and that meant two more would be fired right away.

No way was the final two going to be anyone other than Joan and Annie. They have both done too well, and hate each other so much, that Donald had to pick them. They will make for great TV.

Trace Adkins is going to be on the finale. He has been watching the show all along with a purpose. Trace, of course, was the runner up to Piers Morgan last year. Both Trace and Piers will reminisce about their season, update us on what's happened with them in the last year (just little things - like the song Trace sang at the finale last year "You're Gonna Miss This" winning ACM Single of the Year!), and then weigh in on the final two.

Trace raised money for The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxix Network to the tune of just under $400,000 this last year. And he also raised something more important than money - awareness for the charity.

The picture to the right is from last season - Trace in the boardroom = not looking pleased. heehee
